Patients using hydrocortisone creams can receive microdermabrasion treatments after discontinuing use of the creams for at least one week prior to the day of their procedure.

Possible Side Effects from Microdermabrasion

Side effects of microdermabrasion are extremely uncommon and are typically temporary and mild. The symptoms of these side effects are similar to that of a sunburn and often subside within a day or so. They include redness, itching, flaking and dry skin.
